Keyboarding 1 Addendum
Absent Work:
If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to make an appointment with the teacher to come in 20 minutes before/after school to make up each day missed. Students will have two weeks, from the date of the absence, to come in and make up all missing work.
Keyboarding Grade:
Grading will be determined by the following four (4) areas:
- Speed/Accuracy 35% of final grade
- Technique 25% of final grade
- Daily Lessons/Tests 25% of final grade
- Participation/Citizenship 15% of final grade
SPEED/ACCURACY (35% of your grade):
This grade will be based on 3-minute timings with 6 or less errors and NO use of the backspace key.

Materials:
On occasion, computers tend to break down. Students are responsible to bring an AR book to class each day to read if there is technical difficulty with the equipment or the server.
Teacher Availability:
Teachers will be available every morning and after school Tuesday and Thursday until 3:30. Any other time will need to be by appointment.
Extra Credit / Hall Passes:
Each student will be given 4 hall passes for the semester. They may use the hall passes to go to the restroom, get assignments from locker, or to use the phone in the office. If students have unused hall passes the last week of the semester, each hall pass that is not used will be 10 points extra credit (up to 40 points extra credit).
