Reading
The Reading Department at South Jordan Middle School offers courses emphasizing reading comprehension, basic vocabulary and improving reading skills. Comprehension skills will include literal, interpretive, critical and creative comprehension. Basic vocabulary will be covered in literature-related words, word relationship and word parts. Other targeted areas of reading skills will focus on researching, organizing, learning, and study skills. These goals will be accomplished through using various literary selections.
